about /

David Bernstein (b. 1973) is a photographer based in Columbus, Ohio. In 2016, after two decades working as a photographic generalist, shooting for clients as diverse as Victoria's Secret and the Chronicle of Higher Education, David has turned his attention to his personal work. This website, and the shows listed below, mark this new direction. Trained also as a professional historian, David's work often explores humans' relationship to place.
